7 steps to mastering the ego

7 STEPS TO MASTERING THE EGOHere are seven recommendations to help transcend these entrenched ideas of vanity. All are designed to ensure that you identify a key false ego and vanity.

1. Do not be offended.

The behavior of others is no reason to stay immobilized. What offends you only contributes to weaken you. If you’re looking for reasons to feel offended, you’ll find every other day. Is your ego in action, convincing yourself that the world should not be as it is.

But you can become a connoisseur of life and repay you with the Universal Spirit of Creation. You can not reach the power of intention feeling offended. Of course, acts to eradicate the horrors of the world, emanating from massive identification with the ego, but lives in peace. As we are reminded A Course in Miracles [A Course in Miracles]: Peace is of God, who belongs to God you are not comfortable unless your peace. ” Feeling offended creates the same destructive energy that offended you and that leads to attack, counterattack, and war.

2. Free yourself from the need to win.
The ego loves to divide between winners and losers. Earnestly to win is a surefire way to avoid conscious contact with intention. Why? Because ultimately, it is impossible to win all the time. There is always someone faster, younger, stronger, smarter and with more luck than you, and always come back to feel insignificant and worthless. You are not your victories. You might like the competition and have fun in a world where winning is everything, but do not have to be there with your thoughts.

There are no losers in a world in which all share the same energy source. All you can say is that on a certain day gave up a certain level compared with the level of other people that day. But today is another day, and we must take account of other competitors and other circumstances. You’re still the infinite presence in a body that is a day a decade older. Forget about the need to win not accept that the opposite of winning is losing.

That is the fear of the ego. If your body does not pay to win that day simply does not matter if you do not identify exclusively with your ego. Assume the role of observer, look and enjoy it all without having to win a trophy. He lives alone, correspóndete with the energy of intention and, ironically, though hardly notice it, your life will emerge as the most wins let go after them.

3. Free yourself from the need to be right.
The ego is a source of conflict and dissension because it pushes you to make the other mistake. When you’re hostile, you’ve been disconnected from the power of intention. The creative spirit is kind, loving and responsive, and is free of anger, resentment and bitterness. Forget the need to be right in the discussions and relationships is like saying to ego: I’m not your slave.

I embrace the good and reject your need to be right. Even more, I will give this person the opportunity to feel better by saying you’re right and thank him for having aimed to truth. When you forget the reason you need to strengthen the connection to the power of intention, but keep in mind that the ego is a very determined fighter. I’ve seen people willing to die rather than leave to be right. I have seen wonderful relationships ended because of the need to bring certain people always right. I suggest you forget this ego-driven need by standing in the middle of a discussion to ask: What do I want? Being happy or being right?

When you choose how happy, loving and spiritual, it strengthens your connection with intention. Ultimately, now expand your new connection to the power of intention. The universal Source will begin to work with you in creating the life you intend wants you to take.

4. Shed the need to be superior.
The true nobility has nothing to do with being better than others. It’s about being better than you were before. Focus on your growth, with constant awareness that there is no one better than anyone on this planet. All emanate from the same life force. We all have a mission to fulfill the essence for which we are bound, and we have all we need to fulfill that destiny. None of this is possible when you consider yourself superior to others. No matter how old this saying is also true: We are all equal in the eyes of God.

Forget the need to feel than to see God revealed in all. No other securities based on its appearance, achievements, possessions and other scales imposed by the ego. When you project feelings of superiority, that’s what you get back, and takes you to resentment and ultimately to feelings of hostility. These feelings become the vehicle that takes you away from the intent. A Course in Miracles talks about the need for special and superior: Special Feeling always makes comparisons. It is caused by a deficiency that is seen in the other and keeps searching and keeping track of the deficiencies that can perceive.

5. Free yourself from the need to have more.
The mantra of ego is more. However much you achieve or acquire, your ego will insist that is not enough. I really struggle continuously and will erase the possibility of achieving the goal, but in reality you’ve already achieved, and is up to you to decide how to use the present moment of your life. Ironically, when you stop needing more, it seems like you got more than they want.

How are you detached from that need, you find it easier to pass it to others, because you realize how little you need to feel satisfied and at peace. The Universal Source is satisfied with itself, continuously expanding and creating new life, without ever trying to cling to his creations for their selfish resources. Create and loosens. When you desligas of the ego’s need for more, you unify with the source. Think, you attract what you want toward you and desligas, without requiring that you present nothing more. If you value everything that arises, you learn the great lesson that gave St. Francis of Assisi: … is given when received. By allowing abundance to flow to you and through you, you establish correspondence with the Source and You say that energy flowing.

6. Free yourself from the need to identify yourself with your accomplishments.
It can be a difficult concept if you think that you and your accomplishments are you the same. God writes all the music, God sings all the songs, God builds all buildings. God is the source of all your accomplishments. And I hear the protests of your ego, but still tuned in to this idea. Everything emanates from the Source. You and your Source are one and the same! You are not this body and its achievements.

You observer Look around and appreciates the skills that you have been granted, the motivation to achieve things and things you have prepared, but atribúyele all the merit to the power of intention gave you existence and which forms part materialized. The less you need atribuirte the merit of your accomplishments will be more connected with the seven faces of intention, the freer you will be to get things, you will come more often. When you stick to these achievements and think you’re getting when you leave your only peace and gratitude of your Source.

7. Get rid of your reputation.
The fame you is not located in you, but in the minds of others and therefore does not exert any control over it. If you talk to thirty, thirty have different reputations. Connecting to intention means listening to the dictates of your heart and act based on what your inner voice tells you that is your goal here. If you worry too much about how you will perceive others, you open disconnected from the intent and allowed to guide you the opinions of others. This is how the ego. It is an illusion that stands between you and the strength of intention.

There is nothing you can not do, unless you sign out of force and convince yourself that your goal is to show others your superiority and authority and devote your energy to try to gain an enviable reputation among the egos of others. Do what you do under the guidance of your inner voice, always connected to your Source and grateful to her. Keep your purpose, deslígate of the results and accept responsibility for what lies in you: your character. Let others argue over your fame has nothing to do with you.
